Terms of Use

These terms govern every visit, search, and use of content on Schuyler County Criminal History. Using the website means the visitor accepts all conditions stated below. Anyone who does not agree must stop using the website.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no connection to a local, Missouri, or federal government body. It is neither a consumer reporting agency nor a private investigation service. This website and its advertising partners do not offer tools intended for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or any other Fair Credit Reporting Act purpose. Its role is limited to helping readers locate Schuyler County and Missouri criminal-record resources.

1. What This Website Is

Schuyler County Criminal History is an independent reference website. It does not hold official records, complete government searches, retrieve files, or submit documents for a visitor.

The content identifies source offices and portals, including the Schuyler County Sheriff, Missouri courts, the Missouri State Highway Patrol Criminal Justice Information Services Division, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol Sex Offender Registry. It may also connect visitors with separately operated search services.

2. Rules for Using This Site

A visitor agrees not to:

  • Violate federal, Missouri, or local law
  • Harass, stalk, intimidate, or threaten another person
  • Use content for a credit, insurance, employment, or housing decision
  • Attempt unauthorized access to any system or account
  • Use scrapers, bots, or automated collection tools against the pages
  • Disrupt the website or interfere with another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No content or linked result may be used to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate against a person. Misuse may also violate criminal law. The rule is especially important for Missouri State Highway Patrol Sex Offender Registry information. Missouri law provides that registry data supports public safety, not confrontation or vigilante conduct, and section 43.533 prohibits using it to facilitate a crime.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Schuyler County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not create a background check, consumer report, or credit report. Neither this website nor an advertising partner supplies a service designed to evaluate a person for an FCRA-regulated purpose. A visitor must not use any content or linked output to:

  • Make a hiring or firing decision
  • Evaluate a housing applicant or renter
  • Set insurance terms or judge creditworthiness
  • Decide eligibility for a license, benefit, permit, or government program
  • Carry out any other action governed by the FCRA

An authorized official check must be ordered from the Missouri State Highway Patrol Criminal Justice Information Services Division or another provider that lawfully serves the stated purpose.

5. No Legal Advice

The material is general information, not legal advice. It cannot determine how a Missouri charge, warrant, conviction, closure, or expungement rule applies to one case. A licensed Missouri attorney should be consulted for that analysis.

6. No Warranties

The website and its content are offered "as is." No promise is made that:

  • Every fact is complete, accurate, or current
  • Access will be continuous or free from interruption
  • The pages will contain no error, defect, or security weakness
  • A partner's results will be complete or correctly matched

Missouri records change as cases are filed, resolved, closed, amended, or expunged. Agency contacts and fees can change too. Only the Schuyler County or state office that keeps the source record can issue an official statement or copy.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may point to Missouri government sites, court portals, legal resources, and outside search services. Those destinations control their own content, costs, availability, and data practices. Schuyler County Criminal History is not responsible for them, and visitors should review each provider's terms.

8. Intellectual Property

Unless another owner is identified, the website's text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Schuyler County Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be copied, altered, distributed, or used to create a derivative work without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Schuyler County Criminal History is not liable for loss or damage arising from use of the website, reliance on its content, or use of a linked service.

10. Indemnification

A visitor agrees to defend and hold the website harmless from claims, demands, actions, expenses, and reasonable legal fees caused by that visitor's use of the website or breach of these terms.

11. Governing Law

Missouri law governs these terms. Any dispute related to use of Schuyler County Criminal History must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Missouri.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A revised version takes effect when it is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time, with or without notice and for any reason.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions continue in force. The affected provision will be narrowed only as far as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these terms may be directed through the Contact page.
